The word KAATSU, is derived from the Japanese words (KA) which means “additional” and “ATSU” which stands for “Pressure”. KAATSU practices utilizes computer controlled, pressurized bands around arms and legs to temporarily reduce the blood flow. This result the working limbs to be filled with blood which allows more capillaries to be filled as well. Working out while administering KAATSU practice, stimulates the release of more growth hormones and thus provides the same benefits as a high intensity workout and with no tissue damage either. One of the more problematic areas of high intensity workouts is that the resulting damage to the muscle causes a pain sensation. With KAATSU, you can easily reap the benefits of high intensity workouts at a very low level of physical effort and no pain element involved.
