If you’re over age 40, you know how tough it is to bounce back after an injury. Even after some surgeries that you may have had, your physician most likely told you that it will take longer to heal because of limited circulation. KAATSU recently came to the USA from Japan which has been revolutionary in terms of rehabilitating injuries. Athletes, the military and even NASA are utilizing KAATSU for improving strength and recovery. KAATSU involves the repeated on/off of pressure with pneumatic bands that are controlled by a regulator. The bands partially restrict blood flow (never occlude) and with the use of light weights and muscle contractions, trick the brain into believing it did a hard workout. The brain then pumps out a cascade of repair hormones in addition to building new networks of capillaries. KAATSU also helps improve the elasticity of blood vessels because of increased levels of nitric oxide.
